The service and chalet staff on a TCC catered ski holiday

The location, images and price of our catered chalets in Méribel will encourage you to book with The Chalet Company for the first time... but it is the chalet staff and the service that will make you return…hopefully year after year! Below are the most common questions we get asked about the service in our catered chalets. If you have further questions, please don't hesitate to contact us.

Should I tip my chalet staff?

Tipping your host, chef or chalet staff is completely at your discretion. It is generally the norm in catered chalets. Hopefully, your hosts will have worked extremely hard to make your ski holiday one to remember! Therefore, if you think they’ve earned it, please do tip! Obviously, the sky is the limit but, as a guide, guests usually give around €10-€20 per member of their party.

Do chalet staff live in?

The Chalet Company staff do not live in any of our catered chalets in Méribel.

I am arriving in Méribel early; can you look after our bags?

Check-in time at our chalets is 17:00 and check-out the following weekend is 10:00. Currently, we are unable to offer early arrivals or late departures, including bag storage, as we need to completely deep clean the chalet and store rooms, to minimise the risk of COVID-19.

Can you organise our ski passes for Méribel and The Three Valleys? How much do they cost?

We are still waiting for Three Valleys lift pass prices for 2021/22 season to be released. However, as a guide, a six-day Three Valley lift pass is around €325 for an adult and €260 for a child. Our client services team will be happy to organise lift passes so you get the best deal on passes for your group. There’s also the added benefit that our chalet staff will have them ready in the chalet when you arrive. This saves the rush and hassle of queuing on the first ski day!
